Legacy Products
This answer applies only to AFS desktop software versions 3.0 through 5.0.
This may be caused by an incorrect software calculation and can be fixed by correcting the "as-applied" acre calculation in the desktop software.
Follow these steps to correct the acres calculation in the desktop software:
A. Import the as-applied data into the AFS software.
B. Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Batch Command Utility."
C. Select the batch command "Add Simple Analysis."
D. Select the analysis function "Scale Data" and click "OK."
E. Set the Operation to "Planting," leave everything else set to "All," and click the "Next" button.
F. Click the "Finish" button on the next dialog.
G. The "Attributes to Scale" dialog will now appear. Select the "Swath Width" attribute from the list on the left. Now click the "Add>>" button to place it in the window to the right. Click the "Next" button to continue.
H. The "Scale Factor" dialog will now be displayed. Enter a scale factor to (2).
I. Click the "Finish" button.
J. Your area values in the summary and other locations should now appear properly.
Desktop software versions prior to v3.0 and after 5.52 require unlock codes when installing or re-installing.
Contact the Case IH AFS Customer Support Center at 888-CASE-AFS for assistance with unlocking older desktop software (prior to Harvest and Application Control Systems v3.0).
The following versions of legacy software can be unlocked:
- Instant Crops 4.1 and up
- Instant Survey 5.0 and up
- Instant Yield Map 3.0 and up
- Pocket Survey (all versions)
AFS 2000 and later software (through Harvest and Application Control Systems v5.52) does not need an unlock code. It is fully functional when installed.
Software versions newer than v5.52 again require an unlock code. The software can be unlocked through the built-in registration mechanism (see the software "Help"), or by contacting the AFS Customer Support Center at 888-CASE-AFS.
