These questions relate to general AFS Pro 600 usage that is not specific to any individual operation. For example, a question like "How do I create a new Task?" will be found here, but a question like "How do I create a new swath?" will be found on the AFS AccuGuide page.
----------
AFS Pro 600 displays ordered through the CNH Parts system are shipped in a padded storage box that is useful for off-season storage and for transporting the display when not installed in a vehicle. However, displays ordered with a vehicle may not include a display storage box.
A display storage box is available from your local Case IH dealer. Ask your dealer for part number 87515548.
Yes! The part number for this harness is 84169716.
This harness provides power and ground to the display. It also serves as a serial port breakout harness and provides a data ground for the RS232B serial connection. Finally, it provides a diagnostic connector for use with your dealer's laptop service software.
"USA" displays standard "English" units of measure (acres, gallons, pints, quarts, bushels, pounds, ounces, tons, etc.)
"Imperial" is very similar to "USA", except that an Imperial Gallon contains 5 quarts, rather than a "USA Gallon", which contains 4 quarts.
"Metric" displays standard metric units of measure (hectares, liters, milliliters, kilograms, grams, metric tonnes, etc.)
Also, when "Metric" is selected, user-defined windows (Run screen windows) displaying any bushel-related values ("Bushels, Dry", "Bushels, Wet", "Flow, Dry bu", etc) are not available.
Yes. You will need to use your AFS Pro600 in conjunction with a Raven 100 or 1000 series SCS variable rate controller.
You will need a Raven null modem harness (part # 115-0159-822) to go from the Raven to the AFS Pro600 3rd Party Harness (see part numbers below).
If you already have your AFS Pro600 installed (powered) in a vehicle, you will need Case IH part #87732647. This harness will provide you with 2 serial connections on the AFS Pro600. One will be used to connect to the Raven 115-0159-822 cable. The other can be used to connect to another serial device such as a GPS receiver, another Raven controller, or a Rawson controller.
If you do not have your AFS Pro600 installed in a vehicle and require a "stand-alone" installation, you will need Case IH part #84169716. This harness will provide the display with power as well as provide you with 2 serial connections on the AFS Pro600 as described above.
The current (v21.*) operator's manual for the AFS Pro600 when used with a Raven display is document number 84203343 and is available from your local Case IH dealer.
1. Delete the *.CN1 folder from the data card using your personal computer.
2. Power up the display without the data card installed, and go to Main > Data Management > Delete.
3. Select Data Type "Task", Operation "All", Grower "All", Farm "All", Field "All", and Task "All".
4. Push the "Delete" button. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the selected data. Press OK to confirm or Cancel to exit without deleting any data.
5. Turn the power off to the display and allow it to power down completely.
You can now insert the data card. Your Grower, Farm, and Field names remain in the display, but all of your previous years' data will be deleted.
If you want to delete ALL data, including setup values such as Grower, Farm, and Field names, choose Data Type "Grower" in Step 3
