To engage AccuGuide on a Case IH combine using an AFS Pro 600 on v25 firmware, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the "Roading Switch" is in the OFF position.

2. Turn the steering wheel a quarter of a turn left and a quarter of a turn right.  This is required to ensure that the manual override system is detected.

3. Enable guidance by pushing and holding the front side of the guidance enable button.  Hold the button until you hear a tone.

4. Accept the safety information screen on the Pro 600.

5. Ensure that the Pro 600 is receiving GPS signal.

6. Create a new guidance swath or select an existing guidance swath.

7. Engage guidance using the Guidance Engage window on the AFS Pro 600, the guidance enable switch (2x00 and x088 Series combines only), or by double-clicking the Shift button (x088 and 10/20 Series combines only, requires that the feeder is engaged).

Case IH is proud to announce the release of AFS RowGuide for the 2010 harvest season.  Case IH AFS RowGuide provides a new level of accuracy, operator convenience and productivity when it comes to precision harvesting.

AFS RowGuide operates using the current AFS AccuGuide™ system and two mechanical sensors that provide row position data to your combine.  By utilizing advanced GPS positioning and actual data from the mechanical row feelers, accurate row positioning can be achieved and maintained in ever changing harvest conditions.  AFS RowGuide has been designed to provide operators maximum adaptability by maintaining performance whether the field was planted with or without guidance.

AFS RowGuide can be added to any AccuGuide-equipped model year 2007 or newer Axial-Flow 10 or 20 Series combine, and any AccuGuide-equipped Axial-Flow 88 Series combine (5088, 6088, or 7088).  AFS RowGuide can be used with any 30-inch 2200/2400, 3200/3400, or 2600 Series cornhead.

Contact your local Case IH dealer for more details, including pricing and how AFS RowGuide can benefit your operation.

Header Resume ButtonFor the following software versions, AFS AccuGuide autoguidance can be engaged by pressing the Header Resume button once (see photo right). This action simultaneously returns the header to the preset cutting height, and engages autoguidance, all with a single button press.

  • Axial-Flow 88 Series vehicle software version 21.1.0.0 or prior

  • Axial-Flow 10/20 Series vehicle software version 21.4.0.0 or prior

Shift ButtonIf your combine is loaded with Axial-Flow 88 Series vehicle software version 21.2 or higher, or with Axial-Flow 10/20 Series vehicle software version 21.4.1.0 or higher, AFS AccuGuide autoguidance can be engaged by a "double-click" of the Shift button. The shift button is located on the front side of the Multi Function Handle (the side closest to the front of the combine - see photo left). To use the Shift button to engage autoguidance, the feeder must be engaged.

The Header Resume button now only serves to return the header to the preset cutting height, and no longer affects autoguidance operation.

When loaded with version 25.* Autoguidance software, the Pro 600 can hold 2000 swaths at any one time.

These swaths may be any combination of Heading, Straight, Circle, Curve, Spiral, or Field Swath patterns.  Once this limit is reached, swaths must be deleted from the display (DATA MANAGEMENT > DELETE) before additional swaths can be created.
